PROGRAMS







Jumps & Bumps:

Jumps and Bumps is the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association's grassroots developmental and Edmonton Freestyle Ski Club's entry level program. It is designed to introduce young skiers to fundamental freestyle skiing skills and to each of the disciplines of Freestyle - Air, Moguls, Halfpipe, and Slopestyle. The skills are taught skills in fun and safe progression.. There is an emphasis on good technical skiing, or “Freeskiing”.

Jumps& Bumps skiers ski one or two nights per week for 2 hours each night.

Ages: 6-9 years of age

Minimum Requirements(All Levels):

  • be able to load and ride chairlift unassisted
  • be able to make small, medium and long round turns
  • be able to match skis (i.e. not remain in a snow plow) on a green run
  • be able to keep balance and link turns in small bumps and powder


Jumps and Bumps Specifics:

  • To be able to perform the minimum requirements.
  • No freestyle experience required.









Freestylerz:

​The Freestylerz program prepares skiers with more advanced acrobatic skiing skiils needed to succeed in Freestyle competitions. Freestylerz progresses skills in freesking, slopestyle, halfpipe, moguls and air.

Freestylerz skiers ski one, two or three nights per week for 2½ hours each night.

Ages: 9-12 

Minimum Requirements(All Levels):

  • be able to load and ride chairlift unassisted
  • be able to make small, medium and long round turns
  • be able to match skis (i.e. not remain in a snow plow) on a green run
  • be able to keep balance and link turns in small bumps and powder


Freestylerz Specifics

  • To be able to perform the minimum requirements.
  • Must be a strong parallel skier
  • Competent in all conditions (ice, fog, powder etc.)









Development Team:

Dev Team level skiers are further progressing their skills in freesking, slopestyle, halfpipe, moguls, and air. They will be prepared to succeed in Freestyle competitions.

Dev Team skiers ski one, two or three nights per week for 2½ hours each night.

Ages: 12+

Minimum Requirements(All Levels):

  • be able to match skis (i.e. not remain in a snow plow) on a green run

Dev Team Specifics:
